Hi All,

My 83-year old Mom just got a phone call from a 409 area code wanting to confirm her name address and telephone number before sending her her Medicare card. I was in another room at the time when I heard her conversation. I asked for the phone and someone with a very thick accent spoke to me and wanted to verify her address and then wanted me to get her latest Social Security check to verify some more info. At that point I told him I didn't think he was from Medicare and hung up. My Mom was going to hang up before I got there anyway, which was good. Just wanted to let people know the scammers may be out there today.
