For 17 years, I have saved all scraps from 2" square and up. Crumb blocks have always looked like fun, so I just tried some. Boy, oh boy, they ARE fun!! I used just recently made scraps on top of the pile, so it's mostly from Talk-About Books, so in strips and rectangles. The pieces are nowhere near crumb in size, so I'm making chunk blocks!
I whipped nine together yesterday and cut them to 9.5". I decided to sash them with white on white to really make the block POP! It's 35" square, so perfect for my early May grandbaby (#1) to lay on for a nap. I'll quilt and bind (bright yellow) during my next break.
