I have a couple friends from up north and down here who quilt. They go to the different thrift stores and each with about a $10.00 budget by many flannel shirts x-lg and up sizes and some old blankets where the binding is not best shape. They turn them into quilts then toward the cold weather hand them out to the homeless and different shelters. So proud of my friends. Working on joining them. They use the old blankets for the batting. They also donate them to the first responders in emergency situations.
