My friend Sue in Virginia gave me this recipe. Can't get enough of it! Enjoy!

Bread Pudding with Lemon Sauce

4C hamburger rolls(NOT FRESH) 1/4 C raisins or cranberries
1C sugar 1 tsp vanilla
2C whole milk 2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 stick margarine

Crumble bread in mixing bowl.Add milk, let stand until bread gets soft. Add sugar, melted margarine & eggs, stir well. Add raisins & fold in,do not stir. Butter 9" glass baking dish. Pour pudding into dish & bake 350* for 45 min.or until brown on top.
TIPS: The milk must be whole milk or canned milk, otherwise the pudding will fall after removing from oven. Old bisquits cause the pudding to be too heavy, loaf bread causes it to be too thin.

LEMON SAUCE(for bread pudding)
In saucepan, combine:
1/3 cup sugar and
2 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
Add 1/2 cup water
1/4 cup Real Lemon juice
and 1 egg yolk
Mix well. Over mediun heat, cook & stir until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 TBL Margarine or butter until melted.
Use for topping on bread pudding.
