I'm making mine like yours katybob - half done! I thought they touched in the picture, but they are on different background pieces, but after doing J-10 her way a shortcut it is
once the quilting is on [and a few years have passed], even I won't notice the difference in mine. Dont think it changes the look - she may have done it because of short on big background pieces
