Just picked her up tonite...the motor has weird Chicago connectors one of which is damaged...and she smokes up when I turn her on.
I cleaned her up, oiled her, and had to set the timing. It's my first shuttle machine. I think because I have motor issues, and the rubber needs replacing....I am going to make this one into a hand crank.
She was from an English war bride named Joan...and she was purchased at Eatons in Winnipeg in 1952. That is the same year my dad brought his wife and 2 kids to Canada....but he only had $29 dollars!
