I do have a notebook that I have lists of the blocks. I have a list of on-point blocks and a list of the straight-set blocks. This was so I could design the layout. Then I wrote two more lists - appliqué blocks and pieced blocks.
Now it is time to expand on the lists and indicate the symbolism. So instead of just "Dove block, straight-setting, paper pieced", I will write down that it represents that I was known as the diplomat among my siblings.
