Default Buying quilt patterns is a good thing....

I am working on putting a quilt together, with vintage embroidered pieces, some new fabric and some of my reserve. Instead of following a pattern I have been making my own. I started out thinking all log cabin, but for variety and eye appeal for my benefit alone (finished will be on my bed) have started to use some other quilt blocks. That is reason I asked for pinwheel directions this morning. I am thinking to myself between 10 and 15 dollars for a pattern is reasonable, considering all of the time it does take to figure out how to fit blocks in. In this case I was not coming up with a pattern for what I had in my head, but next time will definitely purchase a pattern. At least someone else has done all of the figuring. And it is worth every penny. Thought for today.
