Hi Judy,
I agree with you completely. I for the most part, make up my own quilt designs. But, when I see something that is exactly what I want and has tricky sections I would spend time drafting. I cave and buy the pattern. Why not? I can draft and drape to make clothing, but buy the pattern when I want a quick design. There isn't anything wrong with it in my mind's eye. The coloring and setting can be changed to make it more creative, right?
