Totally agree.
I couldn't find a pattern I liked for some fabric I bought, so I designed my own. Coming up with the design took a couple days. Drafting the pattern and making the templates took a couple more. Now I'll see if it can actually be sewn together ...... $10+ is a bargain by comparison.
