I ditto what Mom-6 said. How about a simple double 4 patch in your two colors with a fleece backing? If you do use fleece for the backing? I would suggest applying your binding on the BACK and pulling it around to the front. You can either hand stitch or machine stitch. If you take it to the back and were hand stitching , you would have to stitch in the fleece. Doable, but more work ..just a thought!
