I tell this to my doc and nurse every time I see them and using hand sanitizers is NOT as good as hot water and soap. One of my students did a science experiment using both and determined the hot water and soap worked best. (Hand sanitizers are still better than not washing at all.) Our church now has them in all the pews because we still shake hands for the peace. If you are shy about asking doctors to wash in front of you, tell them you have a germ phobia and really need to see them wash. That works too!
LOL, my kids have teased me for years of having a germ phobia, but I learned to be extremely cautious, by working in a hospital! This has been a good thread for me. It is building up my self protection mode. I really appreciate all the feedback! :D at least we can still share ideas, with no worry...well, you know, LOL! :lol:
