The quilt pattern "Poppies" by Deb Mosa also calls for the 9 degree ruler. She has included a template for the 9 degree ruler with her pattern. You can find a link to her pattern and template on this page:

I've been considering making a "Spicey Spiral" which also calls for the 9 degree ruler - but I don't have a 9 degree ruler - I do have a 10 degree ruler. I was in a LQS this weekend. They do not sell the 9 degree ruler but I had the opportunity to compare the store's 9 degree ruler with a new 10 degree ruler. At 11-1/2" from the beginning of the rulers, the 10 degree ruler is 1/4" wider than the 9 degree. Using this info you could theoretically adapt a 10 degree ruler into a 9 degree ruler - or - use the template I pointed out earlier.
