Hi, I joined a while ago but only read threads for some time - shyness I think. The info you share has been brilliant and you are all so friendly so I thought it was time to join in more. I've been quilting since 1976, when I found an American book and taught myself using furnishing and dress fabrics and guesswork. That first quilt has long since frayed and gone to heaven. I could never have imagined the distance quilting has come since - the fabrics, the machine quilting, the techniques and clever notions. Wow! I still love it tho I'm not very good. I really enjoy my quilt group - quilters are good people.
