I sort by project (which in a way is like color family, right? or at least style family), put them in plastic bags but with top open or just lay in drawer separated by tissue paper. It is two-plus years now and I am running out of room...
But I don't do stash-building by buying yards or FQ stuff to use someday. I did that once and it annoys me no end to see it lying around. LOL
