It was painful
but in 2008 I spent 2 weeks sorting and refolding rather than sewing.
But what a difference. Even in a two foot stack of fabric I can see every fabric in the stack.
The key has been to keep it up, not get piles of messy stacks and just leave them.

Some of our members are folding around boards, I just folded around a 24X6 ruler, and stacked neatly.
