I didn't see anything in the manual about the switch on the front that you can select embroi/silk/norm.
Any clues how to use that?
The knob pictured in your 5th picture raises and lowers the feed dogs. Norm is for regular sewing, Silk is for finer fabrics and Darn lowers the feed dogs so you can move the fabric by hand.
