There are special SS presser feet for those left homing machines. By using those the ability to piece and quilt is much better.

Not really, Joe. Not enough fabric is covering the feed dogs for accurate piecing. And for quilting a centered needle is pretty important for SITD work and accuracy as well. For general sewing these lefties are fine, but not desirable for quilters.
