Perhaps this is one of those situations where I don't know it won't work so it does. I have two left homing machines ..... 'er one, I sold one, and have pieced quilt parts with both of them using the SS foot and a fabric guide set at 1/4". Worked fine. Didn't do SITD with either of them ... yet. The narrower feet were situated right over the left and center feed dogs and worked fine.
