Fresno Art Hop
The Hop is the first Thursday each month from 4 to 7pm. One of the locations had California Fiber Artists display. Some of it was amazing and far better than the drawings/paintings/photos at other galleries. I think fiber artists have to prove that it can be classified as an art. It's a wonderful activity for a group of art minded friends.
Are there other locations that have an Art Hop type venue? Studios/galleries/businesses are set up for viewing and purchases, with all kinds of art; glass, wood, sculpture, collage, fiber art, painting, drawing, photo, metal, dying. At some places demonstrations are going on. At some locals, there is featured artists. Most places serve food like an opening night. And they keep up the display for 1 month. You set your own itenerary. In Fresno there are way more places than can be viewed in 3 hours.
