There is an entire quilt shop here in my area with almost nothing BUT dark, gloomy repro-type fabrics LOL . Not even Aunt Grace / feedsack types of things.
I'm usually a bright, wild print or bright batik person, but so far the two quilts I've made for others (memorial gifts) were muted colors. And that was fine. I had to buy everything, nothing in my small stash that fit the design, but a person can always have fun expanding ....
