Berryberry - I started using the right side outer edge of my presser foot as my guide, and that made such a difference with my final sizing
Previously I was using a sticky note marking the 1/4" seam allowance which apparently wasn't working very well - go figure! Of course, I need to also say some of my blocks were sewn w/my Baby Lock Ellegante and some were sewn w/my (old work horse) Bernina 900. I did find what works w/one machine doesn't work with the other . . . ah the life of a quilter . . . As it turned out, I have "extra" blocks that need just a little "additions" to bring them up to size and they will work fine on my Red, White & Blue quilt
