automatic cutters,thread short
I have worked as a sewing supervisor using commericial machines with automatic cutters.thee machines have a way to change how much thread is left after cutting so you don't lose the thread when starting a new seam. Maybe some home machines did not have this adjustment or your mechanic doesn't know about it. Some newer mechanic don't. Hope this helps.
