The adjustment is how tight or loose your upper thread tension is. The bobbin thread never peek up or very little. I use leaders and never have a nesting problem. Also I do not use the thread cutter with invisible as it is too springy and the needle will always come unthreaded. I do not use it with fmq as i dont want little short threads sticking up. I leave tails then cut them real close or bury them.
