Too sensitive? I am a very happy Horizon 7700. I've not had a ghost of a problem that hasn't been brought on by me.

I am curious what the critics mean when they say "too sensitive". For a person who wants to do FMQ, those extra 2" make a huge difference! I'd trade up if I had the money and could try out the machine.

I'm kind of new at FMQ (first attempt last year) but I had tried to quilt other quilts using a smaller throat and knew that it was very, very difficult to push all that quilt through a small throat. i've done some rather large quilts using the Horizon.

That saying, I've heard very good things about the 6600 and people are often very loyal to it. If you have had a long and happy time together, I'd probably not trade--even if it is "up". Then when you are ready to get something new, go ahead and go for a bigger difference with a completely different machine.
