Like you, I love my 6600 and see no need to leave it, other than for the wider throat.
Although if I was going up, I would skip the 7700 and go to the 8900, as I believe it is the remake of the 7700 with a few more bells and whistles.
Are you saying none of the feet are interchangeable from the 6600 to the 8900? or??
