Help...Something followed me home from an auction. This Singer machine with a serial number of
G6449497, treadle just latched on to me, all for $22.50. Now that is home, I have no idea what to do with it. I've taken a lot of dirt and dust off, but where do I go from there? How do I really clean this machine, cabinet and workings? I will definitely need a new belt...where can I purchase that? Just turning the wheel, the needle does go up and down. The bobbin is not a shuttle...that surprised me. Help, how do I learn or even get information on what to try to do? I read all of the info this board gives...everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful. Would appreciate any advise you can give me. Thanks for reading...I would post a picture, but I have to learn how to do that also.
