Congratulations Barb! Check out the pinned topic at the top of the main board and check out Muv & Fav's video on cleaning and oiling the machine. Do a Google search for Singer serials and select 'single letter prefix' to date your machine's year of manufacture (might not be the year it was purchased/used). You can get a leather belt from any sewing machine repair shop or eBay.
......Should be enough to keep you going for a day or two!!
