Pre wash everything..polyester no..but all coton fabric, batting, etc. seems to shrink. I just washed a mat top left from a group I made awhile ago, because when I made them I didn't prewash all of the fq's and the batting and they didn't look as nice after they were washed. warm and Natural shrinks and most precuts do also. so I have not used them and they do cost more than yardage when you figure it up. some flannels shrink a lot. love the suggestions made here on the board that solve so many problems. Now if I could just get them all read and still get sewing and chores done too.
