(Ok, quilt police look away now. I've used mattress pads as batting. I get them from estate sales, wash and bleach the heck out of them. And only use them for couch throws where you want a nice HEAVY warm (hot) cover. Oh, and at $2-5, SO much cheaper than commercial quilt batting!)
What a great idea. I have 2 I was getting ready to give away. Guess who is keeping them. I learn so much here.
I won't tell anyone but thank you for this great idea. I see lots of old mattress pads at thrift stores. Will be more aware now. Thanks for sharing your tip.......
