As others have said, you could try oiling the bobbin case area, change your needle, and rethread the machine both top and bottom and see if that helps. It has been a year and a half since you got your machine, so if you sew a lot, it probably could be time to get your machine cleaned professionally. Usually about every year-two is often enough, but if you really sew a lot, they recommend every 6 months.
