Have you checked your spool of thread when this happens? I found that with mine if I got to sewing too fast and then stopped suddenly when the thread was at the bottom of the spool it would wind itself around the spool pin a few times and then break. Took me awhile to figure out this was happening. Hope yours is an easy fix too even if this is not your problem.
