My future daughter-in-law asked me to do a signature quilt in place of their guest book at their wedding. She's decided not to have the quilt top made in advance just in case there are signatures or squares she doesn't want in the quilt. This decision came about because of a young child who drew all over the signature frame at my daughter's wedding reception and pretty much ruined it. We're using this picture that we found on the internet as our planned pattern. She's using the colors of her wedding platinum gray, burnt orange and a lighter gray. The signatures will be put on a tone on tone off-white fabric. She's having some cardboard frames made so that we can try to make sure we have a good seam allowance.
