I made two more or less lap size quilts/throws for Xmas with Minky on the back. It was the "dot" style, not plush, spray basted them on the bed and it worked fine. They held well while quilting them together....very simple quilting, kind of serpentine stitch, zz tacks, and some zz. Not nearly this big tho but if she wanted to remove the pins and try spray basting, might be worth it. I used pins with faux thingys (can't remember name) on the pins around edges and that was bad enough....can't imagine that many pins on this big a quilt. The quilt is gorgeous.....please post pics again when finished!
