Lots of pins! I find that I have to turn the binding to the back and pin a distance before trying to stitch it down. It seems to help with easing in the bias and you don't end up with a ripple advancing down the binding in front of your stitching. If you have binding clips, they would work instead of the pins which can be painful while stitching the binding.
