Quality scissors like Ginghers use to be very expensive and a one time buy for most and hard to find. Not the case anymore with online shopping. We use Ginghers for household scissors since I can buy them online for about the same cost as any good scissor and they cut through everything. No one looks for the good scissors, they have them. The scissors my family knows not to use are my Nogent scissors in my hand sewing sewing box.
