My Lizzy is an indoor cat, but I have an enclosed courtyard where she can get some fresh air and watch the birds fly overhead and catch the occasional lizard. A sparrow has recently built her nest in a planter hanging on the courtyard wall way out of Lizzy's reach (thank goodness!). Lizzy sits for hours watching the nest and the other day I saw her jump up and charge in the house and run to her litterbox. She used her box, did a very quick cover-up, then charged back to her position in the courtyard. She was just like a little kid who runs to the restroom during a movie then runs back because he doesn't want to miss anything!
