Hey, at age 50 I replaced our roof!! At age 49 I learned how to drive stick shift.
Here is my secret for changing a tire - I got a 2-foot long steel pipe that fits over the end of the tire iron. Leverage makes all the difference. And agree with previous poster, step on that thing!!
I agree that if you are standing by the road needing a tire change, someone will stop and help. BUT -- will they be a good guy or a bad guy?? I prefer to change my own tire and get the heck out of there.
