It is hard for you to realize how high the river is since you don't know what it usually looks like, but here are a few pictures. (The kids got me to go before all their school was done...just finishing up the last couple things now).
First is a picture of a fence under water...you can see how close it is to the road.
Second is a picture of the boat ramp...on the left you can barely see the top of a picnic table which is on top of a hill...the ramp is to the right of that. Then the other picnic table is on the other side of the ramp.
Third picture shows how close the water is to the bottom of the bridge. There are cement pillars that you can usually see...I'll have to try to remember to show you pictures when the water goes down again.
