Suggestion: Download my Excel file (above the JPG) and play with it. You can add more pieces. You can also practice figuring out what to do with the border where the puzzle ends. ranger had some pieces with solid ends at her border, and since everything is a 1" square, you can just count the number of squares in your design, add .5 for seam allowance, and you can do whatever you want :D
