Quite an easy quilt to make. Take a fair amount of practice pieces to make sample type sashing pieces. Get those points even!
Now decide how big you want the large blocks to be. Try the various batiks or go with one solid interesting fabric for the large center blocks. Now decide varied sashing... or go for a high contrast set of colors for the sashing. All these will give you completely different looks. Go light on dark or dark on light. Or light tones on dark tones...
