Wow,what great idea. I too have problems with aligning the needle just right. I eyeball it but this little magnet would definitely make things much easier. Does it have a raised flange on it that fixes into the needle's groove?
No flange, but, the flat part of the magnet attaches to the ridges of the groove and sits perfect for aligning the needle.
