Hi from PA originally from West Virginia. Recently started machine quilting. I helped my mom hand quilt while growing up but never finished a quilt on my own. When my dad was having issues with Dementia we would stay up long hours and would quilt to pass the time. He passed in Dec 2011 and then my mom in Dec 2012. She has a quilt top for everyone in our family for me to quilt. I am nervous about machine quilting her hand sewn tops but I am not a hand quilter. I have made quilts for my grandchildren but I knew if they weren't perfect I would be forgiven. Anyway, I joined this board hoping to learn tricks and tips in machine quilting other than stitch in the ditch.
