Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I enjoy hand quilting but I am very slow at it. I am teaching myself how to machine quilt so I can get some quilt tops finished. There is nothing wrong with SITD if that is where your skills are at. There are some good continuous line patterns you can do with your walking foot to branch out a little. Try the orange peel design or crosshatching quilting patterns.
When you feel ready you can move onto doing some free motion quilting with your darning or FMQ foot. A good site for FMQ ideas is
