If you've ever been to Ambergris Caye Belize, you may have heard of Shark Ray Alley. I went snorkeling there, and though I didn't see a whale shark on that trip, I did see lots of nurse sharks, rays, and huge tortoises gliding through the water. I made this hanging for our beach house because I wanted something on the wall that no one else would have on theirs.
It doesn't hang completely straight - my first wall hanging - but in this case, I think it kind of works since the waves as it hangs kind of go with the waves quilted in it.
