I am a beginner quilter, been sewing for over 25 years.

I do not have a lot of experience cutting, although I do have a rotary cutter, mat 6X24 ruler, plus a few smaller rulers.

I cannot be certain I can cut an exact 5 inch square 20 times. If I cut extra large (5.5 inch) squares would that be acceptable? Or does it just create too much work for the recipients?

I am interested in joining. I have youngsters in the extended family that I would love to make a I Spy quilt for them.

I can of course wait a year and join a swap when my cutting is more accurate.
