If the legs are wooden, a section could be cut out to make it the correct height for you. Then drill a hole in both ends of the leg where it has been cut and place a rod or dowel into the holes. Use wood glue to hold it in place. That way you can keep the wheels on the end of the legs. Good luck with whatever you do. And yes we are shrinking with age. I am down to 5'1" from 5'3". And I now know where the height we lose goes. Around our middles. Isn't that strange!
