I spent a lot of time and money in Mountain Stitches by Susan when we were in Gatlinburg last year. It is a smaller shop but her and her husband were so nice and friendly that I couldn't help but spend time just chatting with them. She had a shop sample that I fell in love with and she made me up a kit for it while I was there. She didn't have any more of the patterns (her own) so she let me take pictures of it and then she took measurements of the blocks and such and wrote them down for me.

several QB members have recommended the Cherry Pit in Sevierville but I was not impressed with it. I wasn't even acknowledged by the 3 employees when I entered the shop (I was the only customer in the shop). I walked around looking at the fabrics and after being ignored, I left without buying anything.
