I'm sure she'll send you a supply list or offer a kit for the project. It's not hard to make friends at a retreat. You'll be sitting next to or across from someone and it's just natural to chat. Also you'll probably have meals together. I've never had a problem feeling included at retreats even when I don't know anybody. Have fun, lucky you!
