There seems to be a big difference in both quality and customer satisfaction between the Bernina's made in Switzerland and the newer ones now made in Asia. Just because it says "packed with Swiss engineering" doesn't mean it's Swiss made (aka constructed), just that the plans were developed in Switzerland. Sometimes older IS better.
